WHY WE WENT OVERBOARD
My love for the water started early. Some of my first memories are fishing with my dad, jumping in to swim, and spending long days on the lake. The water became more than just a place to go. It became part of who I am.
When I was 12, I tried kneeboarding for the first time behind my dad’s bass boat. A year later, I earned my first wakeboard while dog-sitting for our neighbors. They taught me how to ride at Crab Orchard Lake, and watching them throw tricks had me instantly hooked.
In 2016, a trip to Georgia to ride with a professional wakeboarder and visit my first wake park inspired me to dream bigger. I saw what was possible and wanted to bring that same energy and opportunity back to Southern Illinois.
Now, a decade later, Overboard Wake & Lake was built to serve our local lake community with quality gear, honest advice, and a welcoming environment.
What keeps me coming back is the peace, the adrenaline, the friendships, the sunsets, and making great memories with my favorite people on earth. Being on the water is my escape from everyday life and a way to refocus on what truly matters.
My goal is simple: Help families, friends, and riders of all levels create lasting memories on the water. I want to help people find a new way to appreciate creation and the love God has shown us by giving us a beautiful world, family and friends.
We are proud to be locally owned and rooted in Southern Illinois. Thank you for being part of our journey.
